OtterBox Testimonial

Our team was stuck. We had a desire to accomplish more of our goals, lead at a higher level, and do a better job of sharing responsibility, resources, and relationships that would move our mission forward. Tom’s leadership of the StratOp process helped us get unstuck.

1 Gathering Your Key Leadership Off-Site

The StratOp process begins by taking your leadership team on a three-day off-site gathering. This process is founded on rigorous and open dialogue.

It allows your team to gain clear perspective, refocus your vision and growth strategies, form stronger bonds, and move forward together as a unified team around your core mission.

2 Drafting Your Detailed Action Plan

With your strategic (“Strat”) and operational (“Op”) plan in hand, you will use the next six to seven weeks to prepare a final draft of your action plan.

Throughout this time, our facilitator will work closely with you, offering consultation and guidance as needed. This ensures your plan’s key performance indicators remain focused on your church’s mission.

3 Regroup. Review. Launch.

At the end of this six to seven week period, our facilitator will regroup with your leadership team and the new cross-functional teams you have created. During this one day process we’ll review your progress. This comprehensive analysis allows us to create realistic timelines and budgets.

You will leave prepared to launch and install your new plan.

4 Implementation and Continued Support

Over the following months, we’ll equip you to do monthly, quarterly and annual reviews to adjust as needed and ensure you’re staying on track. StratOp not only helps you plan, but leaves you with a comprehensive set of management tools to lead your most strategic initiatives.

We Tailor This Process to Meet Your Needs

Thrive Hound applies variations of this strategy to meet the needs of your organization.

Perspective

Perspective

Today’s Reality: Who is your church serving and how is it doing so?

A realistic view of where your church is now — what’s working and what isn’t — is a foundational element for moving forward. How did you get where you are? Who do you serve? What drives your funding? What motivates your congregation? Answering a host of key questions like these — as a team — allows you to define what’s working, identify what’s not, and gain a much deeper perspective for what’s needed.

Planning

Planning

Tomorrow’s Future: What is the Lord calling you to do and be?

Jesus calls us each to fulfill unique roles; He also has a unique mission for you as a church body. Through StratOp’s process, we help you discover your long-range vision and develop a cohesive strategy. Together, we’ll outline your most strategic goals and initiatives. And, we’ll identify how you will track them track your progress.

Action

Action

The Here and Now: What is important right now?

Setting the right goals and achieving them is how we make a real difference. That’s why Tom works closely with your leadership team to identify your immediate church needs: Who is responsible for what? What timeline is reasonable? How will you celebrate success and ensure you stay on track? Implementation is where most plans come up short. StratOp ensures your vision becomes reality.

Structure

Structure

Your Foundation: Are there structural changes that need to take place so you can best achieve your goals?

Change can be difficult, but sometimes it’s the only way to see new results. Your StratOp facilitator will help your top leadership discover if adjustments need to be made and work with you to implement them. Structure changes might include processes, systems, staffing, culture, and people development.

Management

Management

Current Progress: How are things going?

Through continued counsel, your facilitator will help you stay on track. He’ll offer instruction as your management team implements your plan, including equipping you to perform monthly and quarterly reviews, adjusted action plans, and ensure your ongoing effectiveness.

Renewal

Renewal

Continued Growth: Have you discovered larger trends and insights that require a major course correction?

Continued growth means continued improvement. Following four quarters of reviews, we recommend gathering your team for another off-site StratOp session. During this meeting we review several key sessions used during the initial StratOp process.

This extended review allows your leadership team to see what’s working and what course corrections need to be made. With Tom’s help during this annual renewal, each team member can fully participate without distractions.
