OtterBox Testimonial

Knowing what I know now, StratOp was definitely worth it. It brought out the best collective IQ on our team and mobilized the board. We developed management systems, prioritized our efforts, and aligned our goals. The improvements were immediate. We found new confidence to grow the organization.

1 Gathering Your Team Off-Site

The initial step of the StratOp process is a three-day off-site gathering with your organization’s key leadership. This intensive workshop is based on rigorous and open dialogue. Utilizing carefully crafted questions and discussions, our facilitator guides your team as they unpack big picture questions and practical day-to-day concerns.

This process helps you gain high-level clarity. It establishes stronger bonds. And, it mobilizes your team around your most strategic initiatives.

2 Drafting Your Detailed Action Plan

For the six to seven weeks following the initial gathering, your leadership team will be equipped to prepare a final draft of your strategic (“Strat”) and operations (“Op”) action plan.

Throughout this time our facilitator will work closely with you, offering consultation and guidance as needed. This ensures your plan’s key performance indicators are centered on your non-profit’s core objectives.

3 Regroup. Review. Launch.

At the end of this six to seven week period, our facilitator will regroup with your leadership team and the new cross-functional teams you have created. During this one day process we’ll review your progress. This comprehensive analysis allows us to create realistic timelines and budgets.

You will leave prepared to launch and install your new plan.

4 Implementation and Continued Support

Over the following months, we’ll equip you to do monthly, quarterly and annual reviews to adjust as needed and ensure you’re staying on track. StratOp not only helps you plan, but leaves you with a comprehensive set of management tools to lead your most strategic initiatives.

We Tailor This Process to Meet Your Needs

Thrive Hound applies variations of this strategy to your type of organization and team.

Perspective

Perspective

Today’s Reality: Where are you now?

To ensure you can clearly define what you want to achieve, it’s essential you know where you are currently. How did you get where you are? Who do you serve? What do they value? What drives your funding? What motivates volunteers and donors? How do you maximize your assets?

Answering a host of key questions like these – as a team – allows you define what’s working, identify what’s not, and gain a much deeper perspective for what’s needed.

Planning

Planning

Tomorrow’s Future: Where are you headed?

What are your most strategic goals and initiatives moving forward? How do we track them? If you are truly thriving, what will that look like and how will you get there? Through StratOp’s process, we help you develop a cohesive strategy to move your organization forward.

Action

Action

The Here and Now: What’s important to address?

When it comes to serving those in need, words are nice, but results are what matters. Throughout the StratOp process, we work together to determine what strategic goals your non-profit needs to address right away: Who is responsible for what? What timeline is reasonable? How will you celebrate success and ensure you stay on track?

Structure

Structure

Your Core: How can you best achieve your goals?

The same old approach is going to give you the same old results. We help you identify necessary changes so you can implement the appropriate adjustments. Structure changes might include staffing, processes, systems, culture, and people development.

Management

Management

Current Progress: How are you doing?

StratOp is more than just a planning process. It’s an integrated system for leading and managing your strategic initiatives. We equip you and your management team to ensure ongoing implementation and effectiveness.

Renewal

Renewal

Continued Growth: Have you discovered larger trends and insights that require a major course correction?

Continued growth means continued improvement. Following four quarters of reviews, we recommend gathering your team for another off-site StratOp session. During this meeting we review several key sessions used during the initial StratOp process.

This extended review allows your leadership team to see what’s working and what course corrections need to be made. With Tom’s help during this annual renewal, each team member can fully participate without distractions.
